Let’s Talk Fashion: Living with Menopause

Living with Menopause can be difficult to say the least. Even what clothing you wear is a chore. This informative workshop will talk about how fashion and outfit choices can  be something many don’t consider during menopause and how subtle changes can improve your everyday life. From discussing natural fiber materials to tips on  ……. this workshop will make you feel less isolated and more one of a special club with Stylist Vicki sharing some of her own experiences and tried and true ideas.

Vicki from Beauty & Style has created a workshop designed to start the conversation around how to feel better in your own body and embrace the new you.

We are hosting 5 workshops on Thursday 25th of August 

10am, 11am, 12pm, 5:30pm and 7pm

From changes in their body image, their hair, skin texture, and hot flashes, the list can go on. There are life adjustments you can make, I know all about it. People can feel like they all of a sudden don’t know their bodies. They can feel like a square peg in a round hole. I want to help share some simple fashion tips and tricks that can help women in our community”

Some of the facts about Menopause and why this is such an important topic to consider: 

Perimenopause or Menopause is a very trying time for many ladies as it often goes hand in hand with body/weight change, mood swings and hot flushes. Add to this your clothes not fitting like they used to and our hair/skin not behaving like it should can lead to not feeling yourself. Small changes in basic everyday routines can lead to big changes for your mood.

Learn about how adapting subtle changes in your wardrobe, skin and hair care can improve your day.Perimenopause can begin in some women in their 30s, but most often it starts in women ages 40 to 44.Perimenopause and Menopause is a normal part of life; you are said to have reached menopause after 12 months in a row of no further periods. The usual age is between 45 to 55 years.  For the average woman in NZ that’s 52 years. About 70% of women have significant symptoms with menopause and 40% will see a doctor because of their symptoms.
