Proud to be…

A way we give back to our community. Nominations will be open for 2022 soon.

People can nominate themselves or others for something they are ‘proud to be’. The criteria can be anything that see as valuable in a person. Examples:  Proud to be; a mother of 3, a coach, a teacher, a nurse, 70 years old, cancer survivor, a resident, – the options are endless.

We love to acknowledge people in our Hornby community who make a real difference. Nominations are made by people in the community for someone else who they believe is an exceptional person, who makes our community special. 

Proud to be … for us is about recognising and celebrating people in our community who do so much for others. Our winners are selected and each receives $1000 makeover – that means $1000 worth of clothing, accessories, hair styling, makeup and more – anything they need and want in a makeover. But that’s not all, each recipient gets the full styling experience with Vicki Mcmillan from Beauty & Style who takes them on an educational journey on style for their lifestyle.
