The Hub is conveniently located in the suburb of Hornby, just a 15 minute drive from Christchurch CBD. The centre is easily accessible by car, bus, ride share/taxi and bike.
Finding Your Way
Transport options
The Hub Hornby is located at 418 Main South Road, Hornby, Christchurch and will be searchable under The Hub Hornby in your vehicle’s GPS navigation system.
From the City take Blenheim Road until it joins Main South Road. Continue on Main South Road and arrive at The Hub Hornby on your right.
From the Airport head south on Russley Road, State Highway 1. Remain on SHW1 as it becomes Carmen Road and arrive at The Hub Hornby on your right.
From the South take the State Highway 1, Main South Road turnoff on your left, departing the highway before it becomes SHW 76. After approximately 6km you will arrive at The Hub Hornby on your left.
There are bus stops right outside The Hub Hornby. The following bus routes will stop at The Hub Hornby which include 5, 125, 130, 140 and 87. Plan your next visit with Metro go Journey Planner or phone them on 03 366 88 55.
Cycle stands are located near most ground level entrances. Please bring your own lock to secure your bicycle or scooter.
The Hub has six Type 2 charging bays along Main South Road. These are free to use for one hour complimentary charging, customers are required to supply their own charging cable. The Hub also has six paid Super Charger bays offering up to 350kW fast charging, fixed with CCS Type 2 cables.
The Hub Hornby has two dedicated Blue Star taxi stands at the main southern entrance; however, all taxi companies collect and drop off from The Hub Hornby – please choose your favourite company.
Shoppers can enjoy free parking for up to 180 minutes(3 hours) including P10 and P60 options for that quick shop. Customers expecting to need more than three hours parking can obtain an extended parking pass from Customer Services at no charge.
We have over 750 free car parking spaces including dedicated mobility and parents parking spots.
Don’t forget—we also have rooftop parking available! It’s a great option during busy times and gives you direct access to the centre. Many visitors aren’t aware of this extra level, so next time you visit, head up and enjoy the extra space.
